Who said doing business portraits aka (Headshots) are not fun?

If you are a business owner or even work for someone you are in sales to some extent so when your name has been given to another as a referral what will be the first impression that they will see when the check you out on your website bio section, Facebook, LinkedIn, Meetup, or any other social media platform? Usually it's an outdated photo of you out with friends, you out doing something other than the work you do. With these photo's they have been crop in to you or just left as they were. taken. Having a professional business portrait is not painful it actually can be an enjoyable time. Take a break from your work and step in front of the camera for an hour. So that when you next potential client stops in they feel they already know you better just by seeing your friendly confident and approachable face.

Is this how you feel when you think about having a photographer do your business portrait?

Usually the photo we have is an outdated photo of yourself out with friends, or your out doing something other than the work you do, or the all to famous camera phone shot with the arm extended out and a cheesie smile.

Are you still thinking about the benefits of a professional business portrait?

Last week I challenged myself with a full day of mini sessions, 14 people took advantage of the photo shoot. This was something I had never done, how was I going to get the best shot of each one of these people in such a short amount of time? We scheduled 30 minute session back to back so getting everyone in and having to adjust lighting getting them past the awkwardness of being in front of a camera and lighting was something I do but not to this quick of a turnaround. This probably wouldn't have run so smoothly if Trish Tolentino hadn't been here to help out (THANK YOU TRISH!) and all the understanding participants.

So when you are having photo work done plan on having a great time getting to know each other so set back have some laughs, make some crazy faces and most of all you leave with some great images.
